Personality:

Merci is not your typical cupid. She can change her mood and her look with whatever she feels her charges most need her to be; from charming bubbly socialite who is the center of attention, to demure wallflower observing those around her with quiet contemplation. Generally, Merci is laid back and even tempered. Her looks tend to brand her as a fluffy sort of girl but she is by most accounts serious and studious but is possessed of an acid wit that can come out of nowhere when least expected. Not one to suffer fools lightly she can be blunt proving that while cupids are good poets they can be good satirists as well. Having lived as long as she has she has seen things come and go she believes that to love another person is to see the face of God, touch heaven and is its own immortality.

History:

Merci was born just before the fall of the Roman Empire; raised in a village far away from the chaos of the city in what is now known as France, Merci grew up knowing who and what she was. Periodically throughout the wars that human kind has been through she has softened the heart of conquerors and Emperors alike to stay their hand from wholesale slaughter. She saw the glory of Rome crumble to dust and again saw the Byzantines emerge as a superpower only to see Rome once more usurp control to be the powerhouse of the Renaissance. She has dined with kings and beggars though few would remember they saw her as she tends to be a memory on the wind. Wherever there is a heart to be healed she is never far behind; the years of this world giving her the insight that few have. Merci came to San Francisco on a whim during the roaring 20s and just never bothered to leave. To most she is that crazy lady that purportedly has too many cats that everyone knows but the reality is that she is far more.
